Our Impact
The World Buddhist Federation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the welfare of humanity through the timeless principles of compassion, wisdom, and service as taught by the Buddha.
Established in 2003 and registered in Chennai, we bring together monastic and lay practitioners, medical professionals, and educators to implement large-scale humanitarian projects. Our approach integrates free medical care, education, housing, and spiritual guidance.
Our Programmes
Addressing body, mind, and environment together through comprehensive humanitarian initiatives.
We operate 15+ free hospitals and medical centres across India & Nepal, offering primary to tertiary care, treating 600,000+ patients annually.
Our Sukha Schools network provides quality education to 10,000+ students, offering free tuition, uniforms, books, and midday meals.
Annapurna Homes and Karuṇā Cottages provide permanent low-cost dwellings with earthquake-resistant technology for families in need.
Emergency shelters across flood and earthquake-prone zones, providing temporary housing, food, and psychosocial support.
